Although I have always loved baking (white wedding cake is my favorite), it wasn't until my sister suggested that I pursue my passion, that I began taking cake classes. I immediately fell in love with the process of creating something beautiful out of nothing!I started out making cakes and cupcakes for friends and family, and then was asked to make wedding and groom's cakes. Through word of mouth and client referrals, I began booking more wedding and custom cakes. And after 8 years in business I am proud that Cakes by Carissa is now known for our creative and delicious wedding and celebration cakes.

Being in the wedding industry, you remember the first time you meet a fellow wedding vendor. In this case, I remember the first time I tasted a Cakes by Carissa cupcake. First impression - her buttercream frosting was to die for! I've tasted almost every flavor of her cakes and while they were all delicious, my husband and I wanted to do something a little different - mixing up a traditional flavor with something unique (funfetti cake iwith a light blue colored frosting). Carissa was so accommodating with our out of the box ideas and made us a wedding cake that was both beautiful and delicious! You know you've found an awesome wedding vendor when brides AND wedding professionals rave over them. This is truly the case with Carissa.
